| Many people are looking for safety. They move around. They buy and read books and magazines they see on the market and gather information useful to the development of their goals and ambitions. The quest for safety in times of trouble leads many to join different types of club. The poor in this world's goods join clubs that provide solution to their problem of poverty. The special need - blind, deaf, crippled, etc - also join Clubs and Associations that define their interest, all in the name of SAFETY in times of trouble. Each of these clubs has their application format and rules and regulations of membership. There are special ways by which prospective applicants have to apply, including requirements for acceptance. Interestingly, man tries every way possible to meet these requirements for membership, either by filling up the deficiency or doing away with the negative trait that undermines his chances of being accepted for membership. I praise man here for using human prerogative and will power invested in him by the Creator (God) to get what he wants.
Having been accepted in to the club, the next commitment has to do with the payment of price of the membership, which comes in dues, time obedience and other related issues as outlined in the club's code of conduct and rules and regulations. Here, people who find it out of harmony to give out resources due to selfishness and self-centeredness learn, at first hand, to come out of that shell to do that to fulfill the obligation of membership. They do it with joy and profound satisfaction, knowing fully well that the end-product of their commitment is safety and goodness for the future. Why is man forgoing his personal preferences for the advancement of the clubs interest? The answer is simply because he wants to protect the life he is living now. It is really perceptible from above that man's life means more to him, which is justified by the expressed willingness to go any length to protect it. Unfortunately, the life he is so much in protect, having the body as its temporal residence, has no permanent abode here on earth. No matter man's intelligence and carefulness, there is a day that he will leave this temporal abode (the physical body) for a place of permanent abode for the "real him" (The Spirit) made in the image of His maker (God).
A certain multi-million man erected a splendid house, embellished in the most extravagant manner. One day, some terrorists planted a bomb in the house to kill him and his family and make waste all he has got. Fortunately, intelligence survey uncovered this secret and sounded a bell of warning to the man, asking him to leave the house for a place measured safety. While hesitating to leave, he heard a noise that gave him traces of the coming destruction. Sensing the danger himself, he shouted "guys where should I leave for? Which place do you consider the safest?" The Intelligence responded "run to the salvation house at the outskirt of the city and you and your family will be saved" So the man took his family, left behind the splendid house and went to the salvation house. When there, the owner of the house asked "why are you here?" He answered "Intelligence survey has revealed a total destruction in my house, and realising that my life and that of my family's are in danger, have come here to save our lives" Some time later, the whole house and everything in it got burnt into ashes, but the man and the family were saved.
Beloved, the same Intelligence survey has revealed the end of this world. Yes, the Intelligence are now the ministers of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ - Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers, Prophets and Apostles. They are sounding bell of danger and inescapable destruction. They have a need to sound the bell, and you also have a need to heed to the bell and save yourself from the coming doom. They are shouting on top of their voices directing us to the House of Salvation, which is now Christ. For it is Christ, the House of Salvation who said " I am the way the truthandlife, no one comes to the Father except by me" John 14:6. Holy Spirit was right when He said through Apostle Peter " Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12.
Beloved, look around you. You see and hear on the news wars, famine, diseases, terrorism, violence, greed, selfishness and self-centeredness, etc. All these are traces of the coming doom spelt out by the Lord Jesus in His answer to a question asked by the apostles in Matthew 24:3-51...You shall hear of wars and rumours of wars...for Nation shall rise against Nations and Kingdom against Kingdom; and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverseplaces. Seeing traces of the coming doom, you have a need to run to Christ, the House of Salvation, to get saved. The doom is knocking at your door right now, but you still have opportunity to flee, because the House of Salvation is open. A sound of the bell is heard in a tone pointing to Christ as the House of Salvation.
Beloved, seconds are drifting into minutes and then hours. The explosion of the world and sinners is just a click away. Thank the Intelligence for their warning everyday, and thank God for providing the House of Salvation, which is Jesus Christ. As a member of the Intelligence of our days, I am personally inviting you to join the salvation club today. It is free to join, but have immeasurable value that goes beyond death. The club I am inviting you to join has provisions for the world we live now and the one to come. All the members are guaranteed life after death in perfect bliss; they all have membership certificate of eternal life. I need you to meet me in perfect peace and profound gladness, mingled with unquenchable joy and everlasting life, after the destruction had come upon those who never heeded to the voice of the Intelligence that is the preachers of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now one may be prompted to ask: what must I do to become a member of the Salvation club to have access to eternal life? The answer is simple: " believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved-you and your household" Acts 16:31. How?
Follow the steps below wholeheartedly and you will have membership certificate into eternal life in escape of the coming doom. "Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1.
1. Acknowledge that you are a sinner-For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Romans 3:23. But I have not sinned. You are a sinner through inheritance from Adam. Romans therefore just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way, death came to all men, because all have sinned 2. Acknowledge that you deserve to die because you are counted a sinner. Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death...
3. Acknowledge that Christ died on your behalf and paid the wages therein for you. Romans 5:8But God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Read also John 1:12, John 3:16.
If you have taken the above step, I would like to pray with you. I want you to say this after me. Dear Lord Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner and need a saviour. I also recognize that you died in my place and paid the price of redemption by your blood through the work on the cross of Calvary. Lord Jesus, I come to you today to forgive me all my sin and wash me with your blood. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and saviour. Come into my heart, let me love and serve you for the rest of my life. Holy Spirit, strengthen me to run the race of time and guide me into all truth. Thank you Lord Jesus for answered prayer. May the Lord provide you with the needful grace to love and serve Him in a way that is glorifying to Him and sensitive to others.
