Teaching

The Teaching Ministry (TTM).

Teaching them to observe all things which I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matt. 28:20)... 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

The Scriptures plainly show that the work of sanctification is progressive. When in conversion the sinner finds peace with God through the blood of the atonement, the Christian life has just began. Now he is to “go on unto perfection;” to grow up “unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Says the apostle Paul: “This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” And Peter sets before us the steps by which Bible sanctification is to be attained: “Giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity; if you do these things, you shall never fall.” (2Peter 1:5-10)... For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 8For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.

Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall.

TTM of TCSB is made up of people bestowed upon by the Holy Spirit, the gift of teaching, to help the believer grow the full stature of Christ, and in every way to Christ. By faith in Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, TTM equips believers with insight and biblical facts to “work out their own salvation with fear and trembling. Teaching from TTM allows God to work in the believers both to will and to do of His good pleasure. The believer will feel the prompting of sin, but he will maintain a constant battle against it. Through the teaching of TTM, human weakness becomes united to divine strength, and faith exclaims, “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
