Unlocking Potentials Group is set-up to alert all people on the importance of coming out of their safety-zone to help the disadvantaged in the world.
The world is in continual battle with poverty. We hear on the news of Governments boldly declaring their intentions to fight poverty. You may have read in news about projects specifically designed to eradicate poverty, like the Millennium Goals of the United Nations, but ask yourself; has the world been able to achieve this vision? Is anyone taking any effective action to make these solemn promises real?
You see, the only ingredient the world is lacking in the to fight poverty is this. The will to do something. Most of the youth in Africa, those who are leaders of tomorrow's world have been enslaved by poverty. Many of these due to poverty as a result of lack of employable skills and appreciable academic qualifications, are trapped in all forms of immorality.
This has given rise to robbery prostitution, and other social vices. In validating the biblical mandate to care for the poor and the needy, this group is set – up the provide free skill – training for the poor and the needy, and also offer scholarship to brilliant, but needy students to pursue academic work.
Now where are the philanthropic fraternity? They have all coiled into their safety-zones. You will hear them speaking about poverty eradication but they are too afraid to act effectively. If you are out there believing that poverty eradication is possible, you can do no better than sponsoring somebody to get further academic qualifications or skill - training. A small but important contribution.
But if you give someone education, you save not only them, but the eventually world as a whole. Yes, you unconsciously fight poverty for the world. TCSB is doing this through its department called "Unlocking Potentials Concern Group" We are practicing what we are preaching to you." If you have ever thought of how you can help someone somewhere, then we are given you the opportunity to do exactly that. “And God is able to provide you with all grace…he has given to the poor, his righteousness remains forever.”
